BVA Research Day: NEW HORIZONS IN VOICE RESEARCH

The British Voice Association invites you to a one-day conference on some of the aims, approaches and applications of research into different aspects of voice, viewed from scientific, artistic and educational, as well as clinical perspectives.
The day will provide a unique opportunity for researchers currently engaged in aspects of voice research in different disciplines to meet and exchange ideas and results. It will also allow potential researchers to find out more about current developments and future directions of voice research.
Speakers to include:
- Sophie Scott: Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College, London
- Mark Huckvale: Department of Speech, Hearing and Phonetic Sciences, University College, London
- Karen Wise: School of Psychology, Keele University
- Jane Boston: formerly Head of Research & Staff Development at RADA
- Phoene Cave: Vocal workshop leader, Singing for Breathing clinical research trial at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London
- Julian McGlashan: Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Queen’s Medical Centre Campus, Nottingham University Hospitals, Nottingham
During the late afternoon, the presentation of the short-listed papers for the prestigious Van Lawrence Prize will take place, and the day will culminate in the award, worth £500, to the winner.
